I'll overwhelm 'credible combatant' Paul - Anthony Joshua

Anthony Joshua and Jake Paul face-off

The British boxer is set to fight Jake Paul in an eight-bout fight which will be shown live on the streaming platform.

Briton Anthony Joshua declared he will "dominate completely" Jake Paul and "overpower" his opponent as the pair came face-to-face to build hype for the upcoming boxing match.

Former twice world heavyweight champion Joshua faces social media star turned fighter Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a massive disparity - at Miami's arena on December 19th.

Boxer's Attitude

"I will break his face and hurt his body. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," Joshua, 35 years old, said.

"I'll stamp all over him. That's how fighters think.

"I'm going to seriously aim to cause him pain. That's what I want to do."

Civil Exchange

Despite these statements, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - exchanged pleasantries and kept it respectful with each other.

Paul rather criticized former Joshua's opponent the Cameroonian fighter and labeled him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a match opportunity.

Targeting Tyson Fury

Joshua, at the same time, targeted British rival Tyson Fury - and refused a £1m bet 'The Gypsy King' claims he will make on a victory for Paul.

"[Paul] is superior to Fury - he showed up," the boxer said.

"I respect him for that."

Legitimate Fighter

Despite stating he plans to damage his opponent, Anthony Joshua declined to speak negatively about his opponent's pugilistic talent.

"Jake is a serious fighter," he stated.

Paul's Background

Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly fought MMA fighters or past-their-prime fighters since becoming pro.

He was defeated by Briton Tommy Fury in 2023.

Financial Attraction

Still, the inexperienced fighter is still one of boxing's greatest financial successes, regularly earning huge paydays.

Prediction and Confidence

The 28-year-old anticipated a KO victory in rounds four or five and asserted he would stop the much-anticipated match between Joshua and Fury, which is apparently under discussion for 2026.

"It will be my match with Fury next year," Jake Paul stated.

Size Difference

As the two fighters engaged in the traditional stare-down, with their height and weight contrast on show, it drove home just how improbable this complete situation is - and how amazing it is that the bout is truly happening.
